Last week we took part in the RSPB's Big Garden Bird Watch and we wanted to let you know how we got on.
We took part in the park opposite Green Feathers HQ. Unfortunately, the weather left our results a little disappointing compared to last years but we did still spot some feathered friends.
To give you some context of where our count took place, our head office is located just outside of the city centre of Bristol, in an industrial park. We are lucky that although we are in a very built-up area that we do have a lot of greenery around us in the way of a park, popular for dog walking and team games, that backs on to a canal. You will often find the Green Feathers team sat under a tree at lunch on the dryer, warmer days enjoying the fresh air.
The day of the count was not one of these dryer, warmer days, but a wet and cold winters day that saw our shoes being left on the radiator for the remainder of the working day, and hot chocolate being consumed by the gallon to warm us up. None the less we really enjoyed getting outside to take part in the count.

We were pleased that in spite of the weather we did see an array of birds in our little park and it certainly made the soggy shoes and socks worthwhile.
